how-to: add do-follow links on your about section in google plus

I would assume you already know what a ‘do-follow’ link does (and of course its contrary—no-follow). But just to set the stage for this tutorial, we’d always want a link to be a ‘do-follow’ if we want it to be crawled by search engines and hence be indexed. If we want our ranking to be influenced by a link, setting it into a ‘do-follow’ will always help.

But how do you apply it in your Google+ profile? How do you add a do-follow link that will help you get more traffic and better ranking? Check out the steps below and let us know if it works!

  1. Login to your Google+.
  2. Click your photo at the very top right and click “View profile” button.
  3. Click “About” tab.
  4. Click “Edit” link in the “Story” section.
  5. Click the “Link” button.
  6. Add your web address to the field and the text link you want to display. Click “OK” and you’re done!
