If you feel that your Facebook posts are not seen, people don’t like, comment on, or share them…
You’re not alone.
Many owners of Facebook business pages feel the same way. All is not lost though.
You can still do a few things to improve interaction with people who do like and want to read your updates.
Because they are the ones that matter, right?
And the more they’ll start interacting, the more they’ll come checking your Facebook page, and so you’ll get that great feeling that your message is getting out, reaching the people you’d like to help.
And even though these tips won’t bring you hundreds of new fans for your page or get your page to reach thousands of people, you’ll learn a few tricks to keep your loyal readers on your page.
Ready?
Here we go!
1. Don’t follow blindly what others are doing
You’ll hear lots of advice about what to post, how often, and in which format to post your updates on Facebook to get people to read and comment.
You need to filter everything through your own system.
If posting 10 times a day is impossible for you, because you don’t have time, don’t even consider this option. Better stay consistent and post 2-3 times a day.
You can share the same blog post a few times throughout the week and at various times of the day to have more coverage for when your fans seem to read and interact more.
If posting inspirational quotes or pictures with cats aren’t your style at all, don’t post them together with your blog links.
Don’t do it just to get attention. However, if those types of posts suit you, you can do it from time to time just for fun.
2. Spark your creativity
Try different updates: have a question before sharing your post or ask for advice and feedback.
With so many automation tools, all updates seem robotic after a while. “Missed my latest post?”, “New on the blog”, “Check this out!” just don’t cut it anymore.
Spend some time and craft a little introduction to your posts, where you divulge a bit of what the post is about. Just enough so people get curious to click and check out your blog link.
3. Lather, rinse, repeat
Many bloggers give up too soon I must say.
I hear way too often: “I tried, but nothing works”. When they actually tried for a week or a month the most, and then gave up because it was too hard, nobody paid attention, and overall they were feeling miserable and even thinking about giving up blogging altogether.
Don’t let that be you! The reality is that a few months is not enough to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Blogging communities are built in 3-5 years.
You need to be patient, look at what works and what doesn’t and then adjust. Do more of the “what works” and ditch “what doesn’t work”. You’ll be happy you did 🙂
