The Different Types Of Facebook Administrators And Their Roles
Pages, groups and events are features of Facebook that enhance the networking quality of the social media. The Facebook user responsible for creating and managing the contents of pages, groups and events is called an Administrator.
Essentially an administrator’s tasks include adding or approving members, adding or deleting contents, and monitoring all activities in the page. You may opt to have multiple administrators for your page if you want to delegate the responsibilities of handling it. There are five different types of Facebook admins, each with different rights and specific roles. Here’s how you choose a role for your Facebook admin:
#1 Manager
Admin managers manage administrator roles. They are the only administrators who can assign and change what kind of administrator someone is. They are capable of editing the page, adding applications, generating posts as the page, replying to and removing comments, creating messages as the page, making ads, and checking insights. Essentially admin managers have the most rights among all administrators.
#2 Content Creator
Next in the hierarchy of Facebook admins is a content creator. This person can edit pages, add applications, create posts as the page, send replies and delete comments, send messages as the page, create advertisements and view insights.
#3 Moderator
A page moderator has the ability to answer and remove comments, send messages as the page, make advertisements, and check insights.
#4 Advertisers
Basically, advertisers have permission to create advertisements and see insights.
#5 Insight analysts
Insight analysts have the least admin permission and can only access insights in the page.
Things you need to know:
- The default for all administrators is a manager level.
- Levels can be modified by clicking the Manage Admin roles from the Edit page dashboard.
- A page can have as many administrators as possible. There is no limit to the number of Page administrators.
- The manager administrator of your page has the capacity to re-assign or remove you as administrator.
- Each page administrator must use his or her own personal Facebook account.
With the different levels of administration access to a Facebook page, Page-owners are able to delegate roles to specific people without giving up total control of their pages.
