How-to: Editing Your Profile On Twitter

Launched in 2006, Twitter is a popular social networking available online. It allows users to follow other Twitter users as well as read and send text-based messages, also known as tweets, up to 140 characters.

Aside from networking, you can use Twitter for news updates, discuss trending topics of the day or interact with your celebrities. Business owners may also reach customers by posting offers or dealing with customer queries or complaints on Twitter. Market researchers also use Twitter to know the latest trends. You can edit your Twitter profile anytime to make your information up to date.

Things you need:

1. A computer, tablet, smartphone or a mobile device
2. A Twitter account

Steps: Editing on your Computer

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the gear icon on the upper right side of the screen. You may also click Edit Profile on your profile page.
3. Go to Profile tab under Settings.
4. Update and make the desired changes in your Name, Location, Website and Bio.
5. Click Save Changes.

Steps: Edit Twitter Profile on Android

1. Log in to your Twitter account.
2. Tap the Me tab. This contains your profile, lists, saved searches, settings and direct messages.
3. Click View Profile, then Edit Profile.
4. Make the necessary changes.
5. Select Save.

Steps: Edit Twitter Page on iPhone and iPAD

1. Tap the gear button.
2. Select Edit Profile.
3. Change your information.
4. Click Save.

Steps: Editing on Windows Phone

1. Log in to your account.
2. Tap More.
3. Click Profile to be directed on the profile page.
4. Tap More again and then tap Edit Profile.
5. Make changes.
6. Tap Done to save the changes.

Steps: Editing on Blackberry Smartphones

1. Log in to your account.
2. Click the Menu key.
3. Press My Profile.
4. Click the Menu key again.
5. Press Edit My Profile.
6. Type your new profile information.
7. Press Update.
