Managing Admin Permission On Facebook Fanpage

Individuals and businesses can now promote products, services or organizations through Facebook fanpage. It is an excellent way to share their stories and connect with people. With so many activities and the increasing number of fans a Facebook fanpage can have, managing a page alone can be a difficult task. Fortunately, page owners may opt to have multiple administrators to delegate such responsibilities. Stay organized and follow these simple guidelines on managing admin permission on Facebook fanpage.

Steps (To add an admin):

  1. Click Edit page tab. This can be found at the top of your fanpage.
  2. From the dropdown menu, click Manage Admin roles.
  3. Click Add another Admin.
  4. Input the name or email address of the person you would like to add as admin.
  5. Assign the admin role by checking the preferred role from the Manager dropdown menu.
  6. Click Save.
  7. You will be instructed to type your password to confirm changes.
  8. Click Confirm.

Steps (To change the role of an admin)

  1. Select the Edit page tab located at the top of your fanpage.
  2. Choose Manage Admin roles from the dropdown menu.
  3. From the manager dropdown menu, check the preferred role.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Type your password to verify changes.

Steps (To delete an admin)

  1. Click Edit page tab at the top of your fanpage.
  2. From the dropdown menu, select Manage Admin roles.
  3. Click x next to the name of the administrator you want to delete.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Type your password to confirm changes.

Things you need to know:

  1. There are five types of administrators: manager, content creator, moderator, advertiser and insight analyst. Managers have the most rights while insight analysts have the least permission among all administrator types.
  2. You have to be a manager-level admin to remove yourself or someone else as Page admin. In addition, only manager-level admins can re-assign administrators
  3. All administrators are managers by default.
  4. There is no limit to the number of fanpage administrators. This means a page can have as many administrators as possible.
