How To Move Message To Other Folder On Facebook
You can manage the messages you receive on Facebook by filtering them. Facebook gives you the option to separate more meaningful messages from others by moving the less important ones to Other folder. Through this feature, you will be able to see messages from your friends or people you may know in your Inbox, while other messages will automatically be listed in the other folder. Here is a simple guideline to help you move a message to Other folder on Facebook.
Steps
- Go to your Inbox by clicking Messages on the left tab of your homepage.
- Choose the message you want to filter by clicking it.
- Click Actions.
- A dropdown menu will appear, then select Move to Other.
- To verify if the action was successful, click the Other folder right next to Inbox. You will be able to see the message in this list.
Things you need to know:
- In filtering your Inbox, you have two basic options: Basic and Strict Filtering. Basic filtering, which is recommended by Facebook, allows you to see messages from friends or people you may know. On the other hand, in strict filtering, you may only receive messages from friends.
- You can move a message back to your Inbox. To do this, simply reply to the message or do steps 1-3, then select Move to Inbox.
- Anyone on Facebook may be able to send you a message. Additionally, anyone can send you an email through your Facebook email.
