View All Facebook Notifications In One Page
One of the most exciting things in Facebook that I strongly believe everyone would agree is that, most of the time, we wonder how many notifications do we have on Facebook when we log in. Indeed, more notifications mean that you are getting more active on Facebook, or something from you might have attracted people’s attention, such as a photo, for example. However, if notifications start to crowd, you will surely get the trouble of reading them and marking them one after the other. The best and the ultimate way, then, to monitor all these notifications is to see them up on a single, scrolling page.
Facebook offers a lovely set of ways for users to see more notifications without going too far. To start with:
- Log-in to your Facebook account with your e-mail address or username and password.
- Click the Notifications button found on the top left area of the screen. It should be located as the third icon next to the Facebook logo. Clicking it will show you a list of the latest notifications you have.
- If you want to see more, simply scroll on the list to see more. Be careful though not to click somewhere else outside of the small notifications window as doing so might close it.
If you don’t want to lose track of where you stopped on the list while still wanting to see what that particular notification is all about, you may want to open the link in a separate tab (this feature will be dependent on your browser’s settings. Generally, you can do this by right-clicking the item and selecting open in new tab, or simply press the middle mouse button).
Every list of notifications end with the link See All on the bottom of that pop-up window. Clicking it will open a new page wherein you can see all of your notifications within 7 days. Unfortunately, all types of notifications—whether it be from a photo, or about an app, or from a group—are handled the same way, and there’s not a way you can filter the view.
The Trick
Nevertheless, it would be surprising to many that there is actually one tricky way to viewing all those notifications even the ones which may have ‘expired’ on the main notifications page. This trick will also allow you to categorize the results shown, so finding what you may be looking for would be a lot easier.
Here’s how to do it:
- On the topmost right area of your page, click the ‘Privacy Shortcuts’ icon (it looks like a lock with three horizontal lines beside it). It should give you a drop-down menu.
-
Click the item ‘Who Can See My Stuff?’ and locate the link ‘use the activity log.’ This will open another page.
Alternatively, you can also go to the same log by simply going to your Profile (just click your name on the top right area of the screen). To the bottom right of the cover photo that you have, click the Activity Log next to Update Info.
-
By default, the activity log will show you your most recent activities.
To sort results by Month:
- Go to the right side of the page and locate the mini-timeline.
- Click the specific month or year you would want to view.
Moreover, you can now categorize the results by going to the left panel of the page. Therein, you can set if you only want to see the activities that took place on photos, on a specific app, or even posts that you’ve hidden. Feel free to experiment the results you want to view.
